Australian Strings & Sound Spectacular
Spawned from a Tamworth Country Music Festival 2004 idea between Cole Clark Guitars’ Joe Yammouni and Musos’ Headquarters Co-ordinator Jim Guider, the Australian Strings & Sound Spectacular debuts during Tamworth 2005.
The Spectacular is set down for the Imperial Hotel in Brisbane Street from 6pm Saturday January 22 and will feature Australian made stringed instruments and sound components from Musos’ HQ 2005 exhibitors.
Compered by Joe Yammouni and headlined by special guest Vanessa Amorosi, the Spectacular will showcase endorsed players from Epoch Violins, Cole Clark Guitars, Worthy Guitars and Lab Systems.
“Exciting, hot guitar player Shannon Bourne will be representing Cole Clark Guitars as well as Strum, Rob Cass & The Cosmic Cowboys, Paul Wookey, KCee and Jetty Road,” said co-ordinator Jim Guider.
Marcel Yammouni from Vanessa Amorosi’s band fronts both Cole Clark Guitars and Lab Systems.
Strutting the stage on behalf of Epoch Violins will be Pixie Jenkins, Mykl Lozin and the Rachel Bostock from the Bostock Band.
Steve Flack of blues/rock concept band Guitar Heroes will do the honours for David Worthy’s Worthy Guitars.
“The Australian Strings & Sound Spectacular promises to be three hours of intense, talented output by some of Australia’s best session and live players on some of Australia’s best instruments.” Jim said.
The Australian Strings & Sound Spectacular is a joint venture between Captain Vibe Productions and Tamworth Festival Musicians’ Headquarters and supported by the Imperial Hotel and Vee Promotions.
